What we hold
For newsletter subscribers we hold your email address and a single consent record of when you signed up. For reader account holders we hold the address, a hashed password and session metadata. We do not hold payment data on the newsroom site; subscriptions to partner newsrooms are handled by those partners.
What we never collect
We do not sell reader data and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers on this site. Where analytics is enabled we use first-party cookies only and publish the retention window here.

Functional cookies remember session preferences such as the dark-theme preference. Analytics cookies are first-party only and reset every 30 days. You can clear them from your browser at any time.
Your rights
You can update or delete your newsletter subscription at any time by following the link in any Briefing email or by contacting the newsroom. We respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days.
