This about page describes what we do and how the newsroom is structured. Where information is unverified or not yet publicly settled we say so plainly rather than fabricate details.
What we publish
The newsroom produces match reports, previews, transfer coverage and longer analysis. Our match-data pages — fixtures, results, live scores and standings — are sourced from licensed sports data providers. We name every provider on the relevant page and on the methodology page.
Editorial structure
Stories are commissioned by section editors and produced by dedicated reporters. The news desk is structurally separate from commercial and partnership work, and any conflict of interest must be declared on the article where it is relevant.
Corrections and accountability
Substantive corrections are published at the foot of any article where material information is later found to be inaccurate, with a date and the source of the correction. A running list is maintained on the corrections page.
Tip lines and confidential sources
We accept tips, document drops and confidential sources through the channels on the contact page, where we publish the metadata we will request before publication.
Newsletter and reader records
The Briefing is sent once per weekday to subscribers. We hold only your email address and a single consent record. You can update or remove your address at any time. Read the privacy policy for the data we keep.
